The TE Connectivity (Laird) WPD136M6C-001 is a heavy-duty, commercial-grade multi-band mobile antenna built for full-spectrum public safety voice and data communications. Covering 136–174MHz (VHF), 380–520MHz (UHF) and 760–870MHz (700/800 MHz, including TETRA PMR and P25 bands), it delivers unity gain on VHF and 6dBi gain on UHF/700/800 with an omnidirectional, vertically polarised pattern and a 50-ohm match. Patent-pending construction (US Patent 7488902) uses an injection-moulded housing and base with fully enclosed coils rather than exposed base radiators, giving the antenna an IP66-rated, weatherproof build suited to continuous vehicle-roof service. The solid brass, chrome-plated ferrule locks in place with dual set screws for a secure, vibration-resistant fit, and the antenna is supplied with its spring on an NMO-style base mount, standing approximately 51cm tall. Rated for up to 100W input power, it’s compatible with common public safety and commercial radios including Motorola APX8500, Kenwood, Yaesu and P25/TETRA-capable transceivers, making it a direct fit for police, transit, and utility fleet vehicles.
