The XetaWave XETA-22NPDNA-IO is a compact, poly-enclosed industrial I/O module and terminal server that enables direct connection of sensors, actuators, relays, valves, alarms, and legacy devices to Ethernet/IP-based SCADA and telemetry networks. Class 1 Div 2 certified and operational from -40°C to +85°C, it simplifies distributed monitoring and control without requiring expensive gateways or extensive custom programming – ideal for non-harsh environments where lightweight, cost-effective integration is key.
Key features include:
- Processor and OS: 300 MHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor with 1GB RAM and 4 GB flash storage, running open-source Debian for custom applications, protocol support (Modbus RTU/TCP), and long-term flexibility.
- Connectivity: 2× 10/100 Ethernet ports (RJ45), 2× RS-232/422/485 serial ports (up to 1 Mbps), 1× USB 2.0 port (micro USB On-the-Go).
- Programmable I/O: 8 multi-function channels configurable as analog inputs/outputs (1-5V or 4-20mA), digital inputs/outputs, counters (up to 10 kHz), and more – supports wet/dry contacts, voltage/current sensing, programmable power-up/fail-safe states, and direct field device control.
- Terminal & Bridge Functions: TCP/UDP server/client modes for serial tunnelling, Modbus RTU-to-TCP bridge, data concentrator (aggregates multiple devices into unified maps or MQTT/Sparkplug B topics), and wire replacement (replicates I/O signals over Ethernet or external wireless links).
- Enclosure and Compliance: Lightweight poly enclosure for easy installation, Class 1 Div 2 certified for hazardous locations, wide supply voltage (10-32V DC), reverse polarity protection, FCC/IC compliant, manufactured in the USA.
- Applications: Perfect for oil & gas wellhead monitoring, water/wastewater pump/valve actuation, utilities substation I/O, agriculture sensor networks, factory automation, and any SCADA setup needing cost-effective, distributed analog/digital I/O over IP.
The XETA-22 series eliminates complex wiring and proprietary gateways by providing bridging and data handling. It integrates seamlessly with XetaWave radios or existing Ethernet infrastructure for reliable, future-proof industrial communications.
